CPU upgrade

hi there...
I´m looking forward upgrading my CPU...but my budget´s lame so...im willin to buy a "k" series processor...my actual processor isn´t that bad...it´s i5-2400 (not using integrated GPU, got a discrete gaphics card already-HD6870-) but i wanna know if it worth jumping to a 2500K (i game a lot, though, mostly AAA) and if it´s better that processor or the 3570K?

The 3570 is better, I wouldn't upgrade your CPU espically since your running a 6870, I'd think your current CPU would handle a higher end GPU pretty easily.

If you're gaming AAA then a faster video card will make much more difference.

If you're not big on manual overclocking and putting in the hours to test for stability, or just have a cheap motherboard then don't expect to pass 4.0GHz with them.

Sell the old processor who can buy it. upgrade for 100mhz u can spend 100$ its waste for money.

keep the 2400. if you want to OC, 3570K (after a BIOS update, assuming you have a P67/Z68 board) is the choice for practical performance, 2500K for just plain "my Ghz higher than yours".

that 2400 could last you another year or two, if most games don't just decide to pull a Crysis and the system requirements just rapidly shot up.

consider a new GPU as others have recommended
