Cpu upgrade

Hi,
I have a Dell inspiron 1525 with an Intel Pentium dual core processor T2330 1.6Gh (http://ark.intel.com/products/32432?wapkw=%28T2330%29). I am wondering how much of a performance boost I might get by changing the processor to an Intel T7700 2.4Gh (http://ark.intel.com/products/29762/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T7700-%284M-Cache-2_40-GHz-800-MHz-FSB%29).
I've already upgraded the memory to 4GB, the hard drive to a Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD and the OS to Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. I do quite a bit of computer repair work for my friends & co-workers so I am not worried about the tech aspects. I just wonder if the speed boost is worth the cost. I've found the Intel T7700 for about $95.
I use this laptop as my daily computer and a brand new one is not in my budget for the next few years. I've found the Intel T7700 for about $95.

Its not worth it, if you are just surfing the web typing papers etc, not worht it.

Thanks for the opinion,
I do quite a bit more than that with it, draw programs, minor graphics work, play movies to name a few. The cost of the processor isn't a huge concern.

Clockspeed alone is a 50% increase (though performance doesn't increase linearly with clockspeed). On top of that it has 4MB of cache. And since the cost isn't a huge concern I would say go for it. I assume though you have checked for compatibility with the existing system.

Thank you, Yes I have checked the compatibility, The T7700 is the same socket type & was an upgrade option from Dell when the 1525 was available.
