Question CPU upgrade

upping cpu , T2600 to T7600, can this be done ? running win 7 ulti on 4gb ram, toshiba portege M500

Email Toshiba, that would be the best idea, they use custom motherboards

Toshiba wont agree on him replacing the CPU and will tell him if he opens the laptop the warranty is void, that if they even gave any support to that old laptop.
Some laptops comes with a socket type CPU not soldiered to the motherboard, i saw a video but am not 100% sure that it is the exact same laptop as yours but it came with a socket type CPU.
