Question CPU Upgrade

I would like to upgrade my current CPU but I do not know what I should get. I currently have a 7820x. I was thinking of getting the 10900x or the 10920x. Another option I was thinking about was completely scrapping the x299 system and going with a 9900k as I just mostly game on my PC as of lately. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

what's the rest of your system? x299 is good if you have SLI / Crossfire because of the extra pci lanes, but going the other way would be cheaper. 9900KS is an absolute beast and it's cheaper.

My other specs are MSI x299 Gaming AKC mobo 32 gigs of DDR4 and a 2080ti. My GPU and CUP are on a custom loop as well.
