[SOLVED] CPU upgrade

So, I currently have a Xeon X5687 and was thinking about upgrading to a w3680/3690 for the added two cores and unlocked multiplier.
the main difference to the w3680 is the w3690 is clocked slighly higher at the increase in price of about $20 give or take on ebay.
Im kinda broke so I wanna know yall's opinion before I buy either one.

My PC specs are:
Dell T3500
Intel Xeon X5687(4c/8t)3.6ghz
12GB DDR3 1333Mhz ECC(6*2GB)
EVGA SC GTX 1060 6GB
512GB ADATA SU760 ssd
1TB Toshiba 7200RPM hdd

Whats the system for? Rest of the specs?
You would likely see no difference in single threaded performance, and you would only see benefit if you could make use of the additional threads.

I use the system for gaming primarily and I thought some games like BF1, FH5, etc could use and extra 2 cores

You can compare their relative performance here, looks like it might be worth the upgrade but those are some very dated processors.

Depending on the cost, you may be better off waiting for something modern.

Thank you for your reply! I will consider the the upgrade but at the moment I will have to find the cheapest xeon of the two as they are both pretty cheap. and possibly sometime in the future I will build a modern PC to replace my current computer
