Hi everybody ! I'm glad to join this VERY active community!
I have a question about cpu performance, 'cos I have a dell optiplex 7010 with an i5-3570 processor, quite old afaik, and I want to buy a new machine.
The thing is that here, https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-3570+@+3.40GHz&id=827, It's showing that this processor has a benchmark of 4918, while the TOP of the list, a xeon d-2712t, "only" has a benchmark of 7990 (less than double the one for my processor).
I was expecting INCREDIBLE MUCH HIGHER benchmarks for new processors, to run emulators, etc. I know that memory and motherboard also counts, but I presume that the most important upgrade is the cpu itself...
I would like to run complex emulators at full speed with a decent gpu, without 'jumps' or lags...
Thank you in advance !
