Question CPU upgrade?

What woulb be a decent upgrade from an AMD 3700x keeping the same AMD and socket am4 mostly for gaming?

If you have a motherboard before 550 chipset , upgrade to the latest bios and you are ok

i have with 5900x RX6800 and he's doing great
in intel you can go higher than 4060 because it will be "little"
4080super - 4070super but working very good with 7800xt

it is small, you will go to the ones I told you, whichever you like and how much money you can give for the card

If it's mostly for gaming you want a 5700X3D not a 5900X.
The latter would be better for productivity though.

You would also benefit more from upgrading the GPU first rather than the CPU in games.
Get a new video card, then the 5700X3D to go with it.

3600MHz ram is also optimal, but if you have 3200MHz already it's not that huge of a deal.

Gaming, 5700x3d is hands down the best price/performance option for AM4.
