[SOLVED] CPU Upgrades

Hello, I own a pc with an amd fx 6300, 4gb amd radeon r9 380, motherboard- M5A97 LE R.20 16 gbs of ram. I want to upgrade my cpu because i believe It is really bad for gaming and gives me very low fps. I was checking my mother board cpu specs and I dont know if its worth just buying a new mother board or just getting an fx 8600 (i think thats the number). I also own a intel board gigabyte B85-HD3-A. I wanted to ask maybe instead of buying a new cpu and or motherboard i could use that and buy an intel cpu. If i was to buy a intel cpu would all of my other parts work on the intel motherboard. Sorry if this is kind of confusing and thank you for reading this. -Tony

Yes you will need a thermal paste but the cost is low for that. I would totally look only for i7 models. I guess right now you can find all these cpu's only in used marketaplace , ebay etc. From the list look from the Core i7-4770K and above what you can find that is in your budget.
