CPU Upgrading Help

Can I upgrade my non-OEM Windows 10 system with an I-4590 and an Asus Z97m pro to a Ryzen 5 system without reinstalling windows? Can I just put the new mobo and CPU into my case and plug in the Hard drives and be ok or are there any extra steps?

You have to do a real install of windows whenever you change a motherboard and/or storage.
A portion of the OS is tied to the motherboard, so its not plug and play with a new motherboard.
