CPU usage 100% in game and very high when not in game.

Whenever I run fortnite or smite for example, my game stutters and lags and the reason for this is CPU usage is 100% and its cause is the game. When I exit the game i get 40-50% cpu and google uses the most in that one. my CPU core temps are: 45 while in game
Specs are: GTX 1060
CPU : I5-6400 2.7GHz

Really need help can't play games and the PC is relatively new (4 months old)

by google i guess you mean chrome ?
if yes, 40% is a bit high. simply kill the process (right click ->kill task ) it will "kill" the tab that consumed that much CPU. just avoid going to that website while gaming or at all.

You should close all the browsers and high consuming applications while gaming, As it had happened a lot of time on my laptop too. Chrome renders much memory for some reason but it's ok according to there perspective.

I uninstalled chrome and downloaded mozilla fox and its still the exact same. May I add that the memory is 50-56% constant without playing games or anything.

How much hard disk space do you have left? Are you on 8gb Ram?

8 gig ram and i have 500gb hard drive space left out of 1 tb

I found the issue, in my start up. There was a virus i disabled it and then deleted it and now everythings fine.
