I've been having this issue for the past couple of months now. My CPU usage is through the roof for some obscure reasons. I have an intel i5-6600K.
Whenever my computer is idle, the said CPU runs at about 40%, and when I start a game that used to run smoothly, it runs between 90/100%. When it reaches to a 100, the game freezes for a second, then keeps on running, with the CPU usage dropping to 90%.
I opened the Task Manager to see what was eating the CPU so much. Turns out, only 40/45% of the ressources are allocated to the said game, and... No other programs are using the rest, even though in the overall, it says 100%
If someone has an idea on how to fix this, I'd be more than grateful !
