Hello everyone.

In 2010, I bought a desktop package from Acer using an i5-650 as the original cpu. Now I just found a cheap i5-760 and placed it in my motherboard. Original RAM was 2 pieces of 2gb. Now I am using 2 pieces of 4gb as according to acer, the maximum ram supported by the motherboard is 8gb. :(

I've been having some concerns about my cpu temperature. at idle it stays around 45 - 55 celsius. This is already an improvement after I changed the cooler from the stock to coolermaster tx3. While reading around the forums I have noticed that to overclock, one of the steps is getting the voltage to something around 1.3 to 1.4. Mine is around 1.9 to 2.0.

I've been curious of overclocking but I have no intention of doing it in my own system as this is an old one and I'm not sure if it is able to do that. I am attaching a screenshot of my cpuz and hwmonitor. any feedback is higly appreciated. I am not really sure if this is normal or what..

Thank you. :)

Hi Sergeant, I didn't change anything in the bios. The pc is turned on 24/7 though. No freezing problems as far as I can remember. I left open one side of the cpu case but still, temps are about 45-55, sometimes reaching 60.

What does your BIOS show as your core voltage? If it shows a high voltage, I'd recommend clearing your CMOS.
