CPU voltage too high?

Hello, I just finished building my first PC and everything seems to have gone perfectly fine. I entered the bios and it shows my CPU voltage as 1.7 to 1.8 and is highlighted in yellow so I figured that it's not good. I tried googling my problem and most people were talking about much lower numbers than what I saw.

MOBO: ASRock x99 Taichi
CPU: i7 5820k
Noctua NH‑D15
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2
EVGA GTX 1060

I didn't want to try playing around with voltages in the bios because I have absolutely no idea what I am doing lol.

I downloaded NZXT Cam to monitor things

here is an image of what it says, as you can see the voltage is nothing like what it claims in my bios so I am just more confused.

Any help is much appreciated.

PS: I don't have the OC mode stuff enabled, I don't have any interest in overclocking anything I just want to make sure I am not going to burn out my cpu.

Hello... Yes it is typical for a MB to over set the CPU voltage... I'm looking for some typical voltages for you right now. B /

I'm seeing a stock setting of VCore 1.198v B /

CPU-Z is good small APP for CPU info http://www.cpuid.com/

Here is what it shows on cpu-z

But like I said I have no idea what I am doing so I don't know where to go or what to change in the bios to lower the voltage.

Hello... There is speed step technology... energy savings mode... you are in a idle desktop screen and (down clocked)... OR you have not set up your multiplier in the BIO's correctly for your CPU B /

1) Do you have something to run, to put the CPU into a working load... and then take another screen shot/look at it?
Check out the "Bench" tab in CPU-Z.
2) Can you post a digital of your BIO's screen CPU info? your CPU will be running at full speed in the BIO's screen for this information.

I think you may be looking to the wrong voltage. Your BIOS is the place to look. And the Vcore is the number you need to see. You are seeing the VCCIN . https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/3j13rr/what_is_vccin/might help shed a little light. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/398977-overclocking-the-4790k-vccin-vcore-etc/ might help a little more.

I on't know Asrock's BIOS. IT seems you need to press F6 to access more advanced information.

shows my board's overclocking information. You are seeing but 1 number.

That is normal for your board

When you go to the advanced page you'll see a much more detailed page with more than just that 1 number.

You might see a screen similar to http://proclockers.com/sites/default/files/ASRock_X99_Extreme6_31_25.jpg . Notice the CPU Input Voltage is VERY close to yours. And the vcore is much less just like you were expecting.

There imo is absolutely no issues you need to concern yourself with. I don't see any problems.
