Question CPU vs GPU for Video Editing

Shoud I buy a powerful CPU without a GPU for video editing or buy a middle-end cpu and use GPU (nvidia cuda) for rendering etc.? And which will be cheaper. Exchange rate is really high. And hardware is expensive in my country.
PS: My English is really bad, sorry for that.

Really depends what you're considering "powerful" or "middle-end".
Video editing, typically is more CPU dependent..... but some applications can utilize GPUs quite well.

What kind of budget are you working with? And where are you located?

I am living in Turkey right now. I am doing 1080p video editing stuff. I think I can afford 500 - 600 $. Maybe this budget is funny but my friend build a pc runs fortnite at epic for 200$.So I am trying to do my best.
