Hello. I have been wanting to build a desktop PC for a while now. As I am relatively new to hardware and stats, I would like an experienced opinion on a question a have. I am looking for a $500 to $600 build, mostly used for gaming. I was going to for an i5 and a GTX 950 2GB SSC, but I'm not sure thats the right choice. I play graphically demanding games like Rust, where on my old computer I struggled to get over 30 FPS. If I had to choose where I would put the bulk of my budget, I would put it into a GPU. I might not know exactly what I'm talking about, and as I said I'm pretty new to computer building. Thanks for reading.

GPU over CPU in gaming but don't cheap out too much on the CPU otherwise it will be an unbalanced system thus bottleneck.

Here's a build I made for ya:

Hi Forever Oleg. Obviously this build focuses on graphics more than processing. But do you think an i3 is a bit low?

I feel offended by your rash decision to call i3 low: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbq5LNYgMJM

GTX 980 was used in the video.

I see. Maybe I was too rash. Thanks!
