CPU VS RAM? What's More Important for Gaming?

I have 2 phones which I am deciding on and would like help on deciding. I know that they are not the top phones for gaming but my tablet will handle those games which might not run too smoothly.

Umi Iron:

CPU: MTK6753 - Octa Core
RAM: 3G
GHZ: 1.5
Android: 5.1 (latest)

ZTE V5:

CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 - Octa Core
RAM: 2G
GHZ: 1.5
Android: 5.1 (latest)

I know the Qualcomm is a better CPU; however, the ZTE has the better RAM. The GHZ is exactly the same which would have been the deciding factor so I'm not too sure now.

Go watch the recommended (not minimum!) system requirements for the games you most want to play, which will give you a better idea of which device you need!

The cpu in smartphones is more important when you want to play, the ram is ok, its big enough.
I choose the zte v5

In general, you'll see better performance from the Snapdragon CPU. Might be worth just having a look at some Benchmarks.

I cant find benchmarks for the ZTE, that is one of the problems.
