hi can anybodey help i have asus z87-k motherboard and i7 4770 non k in turbo mood it can run at 3.9ghz when neded my question is can i make my cpu permanet to run on 3.9ghz orginal it is 3.4ghz

Solution
yep i agree. u cant overclock ur cpu.
but tell me first why do u want to do that?
In any case if system load increases, ur cpu will run at higher clock speed @3.9. there is no need for u to manually overclock it to 3.9.

I don't know because I've only bought AMD processors.. But go into the bios and see if you can change your base frequency or multiplier any. I think you might be able to change the multiplier up to what your cpu boosts to at least.

If you opt to do that manually, then change the BCLK frequency otherwise easiest and safest way is what I mentioned above and yes that will give you permanent 3.9 GHz frequency. Pl note that you will need aftermarket cooler for that purpose.

Note: CPU has base clock and boost clock (mentioned in turbo boost) In case of i7 4770 your base clock is 3.4 GHz where it can be overclocked to 3.9 and 4.0 GHz with 3.9 GHz being its boost clock. you can't overclock it above the stated boost clock.

my flightsimulator x is the worst frame killer on the maked far as i now, my fps is about from 15-155 pending wher i am in the scenery but the fsx is almoast 8yers old but it suports intel hypertrading DirectX 10 multi core cpu still it kills my frame the fsx is cpu hungrey and needs atleast 8-16gig ddr3 1600hhz ram and geeforce 780 graphic card stil it kills my fps

What is the CAS Latency of your RAM? Exactly which model of graphics card?
