Ive just set up my first cpu cooling.
my temps are around 22 degrees c on idle and reached 44 degrees c whilst running 3dmark firestrike does this sound a little high to you?
its a 4670k

your temps seem pretty good and if youre not satisfied try doing push/pull if your not already. That'll drop it a couple or more

What kind of water cooling configuration do you have? Is it an AIO or a Custom loop? Those temps are to be expected with a water cooling unit. They are really good in fact. Also, are you running at stock speeds or overclocked? I have mine overclocked to 4.7 GHz stable but i like to bump it down to 4.6Ghz to reduce temps and extend the life of the CPU.

Agree those temps are just fine there is nothing at all to worry about. I have a XSPC 750 EX360mm kit on all three of my systems and they run about 25c idle and around 45c full load and that is still not bad at all. I was getting much higher temps with the stock cooler. Full load temps were really bad in my opinion with the stock cooler.

oh Thanks for the reply, thats good news then, its nice to know its working ok :)
The learning curve has been a head ache, i havant oc it as of yet i wanted to make sure it was working ok, do you think its safe to do so now?

Its a EK supremacy waterblock i have 2x ocool 240mm rads, the top one is pulling air and the front one is pushing air is that how it should be?

Heres a little pic, its running res->pump ->cpu block->top rad (pulling air)->front rad (pushing air)->res
is this the best way its only a little matx case so i need to get it right.

Not sure if its what you meant or not but I would set the one in the front to pull air through the rad. into the case and the top one to push air through the radiator and out of the case. You could 2nd set of fans to coolers as well to get a push pull config.

Definitely start that overclocking. Keep it under 70c at max load

edit- Just seen your pic. I dont know what you are using for coolant but distilled water works best and you can still add some die to get the uv effect

Thanks ollie, thats very helpful, sorry the way said for the fans it what ive done, but the idea of adding some below the rads sounds good and i have some spare fans here so i will give that a shot :)
im using the EK coolant atm i dont really want to change it unless theres alot of difference to performance?
