Hello guys,
I have an Intel Q6600 core duo quad @ 2.4Ghz and recently i experienced lag spikes. I have tried DPC latency testers and i saw values like 600.000 μs. I uninstalled every device and drivers re-installed them but i had the same problem. I formatted my pc and changed main hard drive to an SSD and i still experienced lag spikes. Yesterday before lag spikes appear i opened HWmonitor to check my values during the spike time and i saw my max cores frequency to about 14 Ghz. My cpu is not overclocked and my BIOS settings been reset to default a couple of days ago. Is this a sign of a faulty cpu? Is there a way to try fixing it?
Thanks in advance.
