CPU without OC

I am thinking of a building a pc and was wondering would it be better to get a FX-8350 or an I5-4670. I am not going to OC them so should I go for the faster one.

Hi. Given the choice, I would go with the i5 4670. It is a very good processor.

+1^ Even though the FX is slightly faster stock speed, the I5 outperforms it in almost every scenario, including gaming. Id take the I5 100 times out of 100.

If you're not going to overclock, then the i5-4670 will be much faster.

The FX-8350 only stands out in games and applications that can use all of its 8 cores (this is a very small minority however). Another good selling point is how good it is at overclocking, but since you're not going to do that it means nothing in this case.

I personally got the 8350 since games will probably start to use more cores in the future.

If not overclocking, I would take a look at the Xeon 1230v3. It is basically an i7 4770, without IGP, for less.
