Cpu won't boot! Help!

So i have a Asus M5A99X Evo 2.0 mobo and have been running a AMD athalon II, old i know. But just recently I bought a FX 8350 to upgrade it. So I removed the old cpu and cleaned the area with compressed air, it was fairly dusty. Then after a couple minutes I placed the new cpu in and installed it with thermopaste and a new fan. After i got all the cords plugged back into the right places I started it up and the fan started but nothing came up on my monitor, I am currently running it through my gpu, gtx 550ti.

I let it run for a minute and still nothing. So I removed the 8350 and put back in the athalon II and cleared the cmos, didn't do it the 1st time, and still nothing has come up on the screen.

I read that updating the BIOS could be my first fix.... only problem is I can't get on to update it.

Please tell me I didn't break it.....

look at the pins, you probably bent some

You posted another post on here somewhere. The 8350 isnt listed as a supported CPU

You need to reinstall the old CPU and flash BIOS to at least Version 1006 for the 8350.

If it doesn't support the 8350 then why wouldn't it re-boot after I put the old cpu in? The pins aren't bent I looked over them. And in how do I flash the BIOS?
