CPU won't boot, only power led lights up

I am having trouble trying to get my pc pass the bios screen. Every time when I hit the power button, everything are running but I just couldn't get into the bios screen. Occasionally when I get pass bios, my clock time will change itself.

Mine is not a newly built system. So I don't really think is the connection problem.

Ahh, what are the system specs and what was the last successful thing done on/with computer before this issue started. If this is a Dell or HP machine, I will suggest replacing the CMOS battery since (for reasons still beyond my knowledge) they will not boot without a 'good' CMOS battery.
