CPU won't cool down, even with new cooling

i have i7 6700k with stock perfomance, i'm afraid to overclock it coz my cpu is already hit 40-45 degress with idle, even i'm using noctua nh-u14s as my cpu cooling is not really solve it...

when i look on internet with noctua they get aroudnd 27-30 degress....

did you anyone know what happen with my cpu???

What are your your maximum temps. About 10c above room temperatures on idle or light use is quite normal.

Max is About 50-55 degree on idle,

Okay, so is not really something to worry with my cpu, i'm afraid coz many people say 40-50 degress is quite hot for idle...

I believe what CountMike was asking what your CPU's temperature when it is on a full load.

Temperature at idle doesn't inform us how the CPU performs when it has to work.

Okay, i miss the point,lol

I think it can hit 80 degree sometimes, but in full load is about 67-72 degree...

According to the above guide it sounds within spec (depending whether it's reading core or package temperatures and even then it sounds safe).

Okaay, then my cpu won't be damage if i overclocked, right??

If it gets overheated, it will start to throttle down at first and in really bad case even shut down before any damage can occur. Still 80c is on a high side, check if fans ramp speed up and that voltages are not too high.

But somtimes i get throttle down when playing games...is okay??

Loosing performance that way. Still don't understand why it's heating that much, that cooler should keep it at much lower temps.
