[SOLVED] CPU Wont Overclock past 3.99 GHZ

I overclock my i7 7600k to 4.6 ghz but my cpu wont go past 4 ghz on the dot in cineabench. I have a asus z170-a motherboard

With overclocking, there are several factors involved. You need to make sure your motherboard settings are all set correctly.

I would take a look at your voltage settings. However, changing your voltage can be dangerous. Do this only if you know what you are doing.

As far as I know there is no such thing as an i7-7600k. First, I would make sure of the CPU you have on hand.

Remember, that CPUs have different top speeds based on how many cores are active. The all core speed is always lower than the single core speed by default.
