Question Cpu Won't POST after replacing the new one

So I have build and use pc for a few month now but I still have a problem that when I use intel e8400 dual core it won't POST And doesn't works, but when use the Pentium E2200 it POST and works now Im not sure what's the problem here.

What is the make/model of your motherboard?
Do the specs say it supports a E8400?

Your motherboard comes in rev 1.0,2.0, and 2.1
CPU-Z will tell you which.
I do not know what makes it worth to have several revisions.
It is a moot point since all versions support a E8400 processor and no special bios level is required.

I would conclude that the E8400 is defective and should be returned to the seller.

also I read some articles
pc will turn on but not post Because of like you said broken or defective and that what's my pc do when I install the e8400.
Well I will return it or buy a new one

sure your MB supports that chip? Are you on the correct bios?
