I didn't use my cpu for about a week and I went to go turn it on and nothing, to make a long story short, after checking all the connections and it still not working I removed the CMOS from the MB for 10seconds or so, I put it pack in and it started right up and my bios never changed/reset either, so I was just curious if anyone knew why this happened because I can't find anything definitive.

You removed CMOS ??? Or was it battery for it ?
Did you disconnect power too ?
Also some COMOS/BIOS will not reset like that so you have to find where connectors for CMOS reset are and do that too.
Proper procidure is to: Tusrn off power, unplug power cord or switch it off at PSU if there's a switch, press Start button for few seconds and than either remove battery for few minutes and/or reset it by contacts on MB (usually marked as CLR_Cmos.). There may be only 2 contacts for that in which case you just short them with a screwdriver or wire or there may be with 3 contacts when you have to remove little pastic thing and move it to other position for few seconds and than return it to initial position. Check your MB manual for location...
