CPU-Z 3200Mhz Memory help

Hi, I got some DDR4 RAM (3200mhz) but I check CPU-z and it shows the following.

In the BIOS it says that its running at 3200Mhz (or just around it) but I am unsure which value to trust. Maybe I have to x2 the 1600mhz because its dual channel memory.

Would appreciate some clarification, thank you. :lol:

It is because the ram is Double Data Rate or DDR which means actual speed is 1600 but effective is 3200 as sold at.
Your ram is running correctly.

Right okay. So I am seeing improvement over 1600mhz RAM which is what I had previously?

When you had 1600 ram cpu-z read 800mhz now that you have 3200 it reads 1600 only you can tell if you see an improvement from benchmarking.

You have improved memory bandwidth and so on, will you notice the speed difference/? Doubt it but will be measurable.

CPU-Z just reports the actual speed while the manufacturers advertise it at the effective speed.
