Hello everyone! I just recently got a hold of a nice memory upgrade (Black Friday, whoo!)

I'm new to the whole overclocked RAM shtick, but I found the option in my BIOS to change my RAM profile to XMP, and from there my motherboard had an option of "2133Mhz" which is what my RAM is supposedly made for.

However, CPU Z tells me my ram is running at half that, and only in dual channel- I have four sticks, shouldnt that run in... quad-channel? I don't know the term for that, but it seems to me dual should only be for two.

Here is a screenshot of the CPU Z

and here is a link to the RAM I bought (x2, for a total of 4 sticks of RAM)

Thanks in advance!

Solution
The DDR in DDR3 stands for "double data rate". Doubling the DRAM frequency gives you the DDR3 speec of 2133. Normal.

Also, does your motherboard support Quad-channel? 2011 socket? My guess is it supports two sets of dual channel.

I have the RAM in the correct slots, yes. The motherboard guide says to put it into ABAB formation, which it is
