Modern processors can run hot.
Up to 100c. for Intel, somewhat less, about 85c. for ryzen.
They are designed to do so for maximum performance.
A cpu will monitor it's own temperature and if it gets too hot, it will slow down or shut off to protect itself.
That is not a defect, that is how it is designed.
Many apparently defective processors are really user caused motherboard and mounting errors.
A processor will have a 3 year warranty.
The manufacturer knows the manufacture date from the batch number.
They add in 90 days and do not require proof of purchase if you return it for a RMA.
