Hi,
I would like to replace-upgrade the current CPU with a new and more performing one;

- I use PC mainly for video-audio editing and sometimes gaming;
And for CAD programs or 2D and 3D design in general.

- In the future an audio capture card will also be used, since I will usethe electronic keyboard to compose and play, recording and creating songsvia software.

Hardware:

Motherboard: B450M PRO-VDH MAX (MS-7A38)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics,3700 Mhz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors
Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 6600
RAM: Crucial Ram Ballistix 16GB(2x8), DDR4, 3200 MHz

Thanks
Regards

What BIOS version are you currently on? If you're on a prior BIOS version, you will need to flash the BIOS to the latest version in order to drop in a Ryzen 5000 series processor.

What sort of a budget have you allocated for your processor purchase? Where are you located? What is your preferred site for purchase?

You would also benefit from adding more ram to your system, rated to run at 2x16GB DDR4-3600MHz, tight latency, dual channel ram kit.

Run your stuff and monitor the cpu/gpu/ram usage.
Might give a clue as a to what area to focus on.

Cpu upgrade here's a few.

How can I check the bios version? What steps should I do basically?

I evaluate the expense before purchasing and having various choices of products, I then decide whether or not to purchase at that price.

already having 2x8gb at 3200 mhz compared to 2x8gb at 3600 mhz (to be installed)
I think it's not that big a leap in performance, right?
maybe you meant: "2x16gb at 3600 mhz"

in the compatibility table there are only ryzen cpu so for this motherboard it is not possible to install intel cpu?

"Run your stuff and monitor the cpu/gpu/ram usage.

can you explain better, what would be the point of doing this?
I already know, in broad terms what I want to achieve:
