CPUID - Core temperatures question and whats okay

i have a i7-2600k with stock fan

On CPUID my CPUTIN stays at about 70c at its highest. But sometimes the core #0-3 goes up to 98c

my question is
#1 i know its bad if the temp is constantly that high, but if it only gets that high during heavy use is that okay?

#2 why wont the core temps ever go over 98c on cpuid? does it not read higher?

never had any shutdowns or blue screens or anything. since the CPUTIN stays at about 70 at highest, is it okay that the core temps go up to 98 on occasion?
