No, it can't damage the CPU. It only put the CPU in "low-power" state when it's idle.

But, it's not a very interesting software, because most of the time the CPU is not working anyway, and it is cooler. When you need 100% CPU power your chip will heat up as much even if you have that software running. It will only cools down your CPU when you don't use your PC or you are running apps. that don't need much CPU power (browser, word processing, media player).

It's like the "free memory" apps. that pollute sites like download.com. If you need RAM buy RAM, if your CPU is running TOO hot, you need better cooling not software!

It's tricky to use words like <b><font color=green>AMD</font color=green></b> or <b><font color=blue>Intel</font color=blue></b> in a signature some users could think your are biased.
