cpu's temperature overheat

I have just bought a core i5 2500 recently but when I play game for a while I see that the temperature of my cpu is way too high....almost 85 degree celsius..is that acceptable or can I do something about that?please help me..🙁

It is too high. Did you apply the thermal paste to the cpu? Do you have a decent cooler?

I only use a standard fan for cpu ....but the thermal paste I dont think I have used any of them..@@..

You need to have thermal paste between the CPU and the cooler. Remove the cooler, put a few drops of thermal paste on top of cpu, even it out and place the cooler back.
