CPUs that won't bottleneck my next graphics card.

What CPU should I get for the gaming PC I am building that will not bottleneck a GTX 1080, or better graphics cards that are coming out in the next year or so?

My idea for a build so far, with what I currently have in parentheses:
i5 8400
Cryorig m9i
Msi z730 a pro
G skill ripjaws v 8gb 2400
(GTX 960 Sc 2gb)(wanting to upgrade later)
(Rosewill rp600v2-s-sl 600w)
1tb 7200 Western digital HDD
250gb ssd
(Inwin 703 atx chassis)(case)

How much is your budget for your build? We can help you with a good build in your budget.

Core i5 8400 is definitely fast. But it will still be a bottleneck with Gtx1080 compared to i7 8700 or Ryzen 7 2700 CPUs. The latter two are better choices.

Depends on your resolution, at 1080p with an unsynced framerate the answer is more or less.....none of them. At 1440p or 4k it'll all rest squarely on the GPU.
