I was attempting to try and repair my add/remove programs which is corrupt
and I'm also unable to get to the Windows Update page, I needed to use the
cd-rom in order to find missing files and see that the cd-rom has a crack
and will not work.

Will I be able to get a new cd from MS? or can I create one from the 386
directory already on my machine?

Greetings --

When the File Checker asks for the Win2K CD, simply point it to
the \i386 folder.

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact whomever sold you the
computer.
