Cracked Windows 8 Or Pay for full version?

I have almost acquired all of the parts for my new build, and I was wondering what people think about buying a safe version of Windows 8 and spending a lot of money on it, OR, getting a cracked version online, that may not be safe, while saving a lot of money. Tell me what you think below.

Legally, you should obtain a copy of Windows 8. It also entitles you to the security updates and support offered for the OS.

If you're worried about operating system costs in the meantime there are alternatives such as Ubuntu, which is free and open source while being fully supported by the team that develops it and is secure.
