Hello! It's my first post ever, I will be quick.
Since I upgraded my CPU from AMD Ryzen 5 2600 to AMD Ryzen 5 5500 and updated my BIOS to 7B89v2H, I have been hearing crackling electricity sort of sounds while playing a video, music, 4K video or streaming or even gaming.
I have tried a lot of things to solve this, but I haven't found a solution, could someone help me, please?
I will provide any info you need.
I noticed that when I am watching a movie and I am running a videogame in the background, it happens A LOT more often...

System specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1650 SUPER
MB: MSI B450M Mortar Max
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL DDR4 3200 PC4-25600 32GB 2x16GB CL16 (Optimized AMD Ryzen)
PSU: Kolink Enclave 500W Gold
CPU Cooler: Nfortec SCULPTOR
HDD: ST2000DM008 - Seagate Barracuda 2TB
SSD (3): SV300S37A120G - Kingston SV300S37A SSD 120GB
SSD M.2 SATA: Kingston A400 120GB
SSD NVMe with OS (Windows 10 Home 64 bits ver. 22H2) : Samsung SSD 980 250GB

Tried:
  • Uninstall all audio drivers and install only generic or new version.
  • Updated Windows 10, chipset, etc.
  • Updated GPU drivers using GeForce Experience.
  • Use different headset and different drivers provided by them.
  • Use different USB and the only jack port I have.
  • Installed LatencyMon and similars and everything is perfect, all green and no reports.
Thank you so much.

You can try unplugging anything plugged in to external usb, and even try unplugging extra drive/s one at a time to see if they are causing the trouble. You can also look at what sound drivers you actually use and uninstall Nvidia drivers try uninstalling GeForce experience. Use DDU uninstaller, install only driver not audio files or Experience.

I already tried that, I actually uninstalled all sound drivers I don't use and only installed the headset drivers and didn't do anything, I don't know if it could be electricity related or something weird... I dont think so, but yeah... The thing is that I didn't have any problem before and I used to have everything by defaullt, even the headset driver and I didn't have any problem... Everything started when I upgraded my CPU and updated my BIOS

The only things I can think of is to check your bios, and under advanced / integrated peripherals, check to see if HD Audio controller is enabled. Check in sound settings to make sure whatever you are using to hear sound is set as default device.

I think I will reset everything... Downgrade my BIOS to another version and new Windows... BTW, Youtube videos are not having this problem for me, only downloaded videos, games, etc.
I already did everything you said, I have been testing with stuff 3 weeks now...
I will check if this problem still happens with my new headset Logitech G Pro X, if it does, I will downgrade BIOS and install fresh Windows and check if that solves it.
