Question Crackling Noise from power supply

I just recently added a water cooler and new motherboard and new extension cables to my pc and when I attempt to plug it in there is a terrible cracking and popping noise almost like static electricity I'm very nervous as I don't know what to do, can anyone help me please

If the crackling is from the psu then change it. Just checking but the extension cables are added to the original cables and not replacing them?
