Hi!

I have been having this problem for a while now. Crackling / popping happens only through Realtek soundcard, so i need to use my NVIDIA HDMI audio which is pretty annoying.

I get huge latencies on storport.sys and ndis.sys. i've been trying to update and downgrade my Intel Rapid Storage drivers and my Intel Network drivers to the newest but the problem still exists.

Any suggestions? have been trying to solve this for a while now and getting frustrated.

My System:

CPU
Intel Core i5 6600K @ 3.50GHz
Skylake 14nm Technology

RAM
16,0Gt Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1336MHz (15-17-17-35)

Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z170-A (LGA1151)

Graphics
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (ASUStek Computer Inc)

Storage
447GB KINGSTON SUV300S37A480G (SSD)

Likely a motherboard issue.
Easy resolution is to install a sound card. But that is more like a work around.
You might be trying to fix this one for a long time. Seems like a hardware issue instead of software.
The only advice I can give is to make sure input devices like mic or line in are disabled.
