like this thread https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/severe-audio-crackling-popping-when-gaming.3824930/ but they deleted my post because "thread too old"

first rule of forums has been for decades - USE SEARCH FUNCTION - and then they want you to duplicate threads because 2 years is too old.

I have set POWER options to HIGH PERFORMANCE and it doesn't help

Does anyone have any other ideas ?

THANKS

Logitech G533 wireless headset, 7.1 surround
AMD CPU
MSI motherboard
Nvidia GFX
Windows 11 - PROBABLY WINDOWS FAULT BUT WHAT CHOICE DO WE HAVE ???

When connected via the wired connection, does the problem persist?

Is the wireless dongle in a front or rear panel USB port? Does that make a difference?

If you use the headset with a different system, does the problem occur on the other system?

the problem doesn't occur even when listening to youtube, only games
front and back usb does not make a difference, i tried 3 of them
they are not wired, they are wireless, only charging is wired

thanks for answering

i also have to reinstall Logitech g hub every time i plug them in a different port

i swear computers are getting dumber every year

I would definitely not use the front USB ports for the adapter. Do you have any other USB wireless adapters connected to the system?

Still wondering if the sound occurs when used with another system? Knowing this would help isolate whether your PC or the headset itself.

i dont know where else to test them, because mac laptop does not have regular usbs, only C type. i dont have other hardware. And i doubt it's the headset, much much more likely is this stupid windows 11

SFC found something corrupt and restored but these files seem bluetooth related and headset uses it's own wifi protocol not bluetooth. will see if it helps. also, plugged them in another port and reinstalled G hub. again.

regarding DISM, it seems that verifies image? what image? my windows is already installed.

yes i downloaded yesterday. if i plug them in a different port, Logitech G Hub won't recognize them. shows them as inactive. Windows does recognize them though but surround 7.1 doesn't work without G hub.

Apparently SFC repairs did not help. Also plugging in another USB in the back did not help. I also put the rig on the table instead of on the floor and turned the backside towards me, so the headset was literally 20 cm away from the receiver, to eliminate any chance of interference. The problem came back in 10-15 mins of gameplay.

MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B650-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI/

I will install the AMD Chipset drivers now (but these provided from MSI page , or would you install different ones ? ) , not sure if i did when i installed this windows.

ok cool, thanks. i will try these too. i probably skipped these drivers altogether because device manager didn't show any problems with devices after fresh windows install. i usually install drivers for devices that don't work and rely on windows too much but then you have issues and don't know where they're coming from like this example.

i will update BIOS too, i think there are some new versions, but need to check which one i am on right now.
