So iv been trying for fixes all day and have been unsuccessful. Whenever i play sound i get a really high pitched crackling/static noise, it eased up a bit when i installed some realtek hd audio drivers but is still very noticeable.

Iv updated windows 10 completely, iv tried the asus drivers from their website (mobo is z370-h) and still nothing.

Im certain the speaker and headset are fine as they worked perfect on my old motherboard and system i previously had until yesterday

All iv fathomed out so far is that the cracking changes depending on what drivers are installed and im all out of ideas what to try next, i did get it to a stage where it was very hard to notice it but i changed something and i cant remember what which meased it up again 😛

Really need some help! Thanks :)

I use the green jack socket on the back of the motherboard as i did with my previous system, exactly the same connection as it was when it worked. Iv also tried it on the front panel connector too and get the same problem

Currently trying the drivers again now, sounds daft but i see 2 different drivers listed 1 is a newer date than the other but they have different descriptions under them? Do i get both of the as one says 'support' in the description, would you be able to search for audio drivers on asus website for me and let me know which i need? The board is a z370-h

Just tried that link, sound popping was even worse, so far best one iv got was from the realtek website, but still pretty bad...all drivers iv tried from asus website are terrible it seems for me, dunno what else to do..?

Your motherboard onboard sound might just be busted :/

Yeah iv just returned it and order a gigabyte aorus ultra gaming, my previoud board was gigabyte and never had an issue with it, my friend also had to return his first asus board a couple weeks ago, terrible.
