Crash/Failure When Gaming

My monitor is displaying a varied combination of black and white vertical/horizontal lines, completely white screen, tan color lines. It makes it unable to do anything on my computer, but i can hear sound still. It happens only when playing games, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after an hour and a half and sometimes I can play 6+ hours without it happening. I have an MSI R7970 card and AMD Phenom II x4 945 processor. Monitor is a BenQ GL2450H. Using MSI Afterburner I have monitored my GPU and it hasn't gone any higher than 65C. Running Windows 7 custom pc.

I would test a different graphics card though, just for making sure.
