Whenever I am around LNO vor I landing in the desktop.
I re-installed FS2004 several times. But constantly the
same.
Is there a patch for it?
Else I have to go back to FS98. So far the best version.
(fast and does not crash.)

hi NitPik -
Why not just avoid this one VOR and use the rest of the
world that's included with this $50 game?
The patch ...? You've got it, go back to FS98.

Well if I use the LNO SID from Maastricht Airport I have
to go near LNO. I will change it to summer then. Constant
summer. Is it not strange that MS is bringing out such a
program if it crashes when you go to a different season?
We probably have to wait for FS2006.
fs95 bad fs98good
fs2000 bad fs2002 good
fs2004 bad according to the statistics. LOL

i agree that it sux to have to change seasons. but after changing , i found
that sometimes i didn't have to change again. go figure that one !
it isn't the only bug in this program.
a lot we can work around through trial and errors of our fellow simmers who
have been kind enough to post their found knowledge of this sometimes
frustrating program.
all in all it's still pretty good . hope 2006 is better 🙂

No need: find the TERRAIN.CFG file in the FS9 folder, open it in
Notepad and replace BOTH MaskClassMap=1 AND MaskClassMap=3 to
MaskClassMap=0.

Nice fix Katy -
Do you happen to know what general effect this has
on FS2004 scenery elsewhere in the program?

Yes, sorry I forgot to add it: it disables the blending of roads and
rivers that causes that seasonal bug...

Hi Katy. Any word from MS as to a patch or fix for this problem?
As you know making these changes does have an affect on some
scenery parts....like the edges of roads.

The "fix" will be FS2006 and it will cost you about $60.
In turn it will have about 101 bugs, and the fix will be
in the form of FS2008......etc......etc......etc......
Can you imagine what a disaster it would be for M$FT if
they ever put out a defect free product?
