Hi everyone
I have laptop dell n4050

It have switchable gpu intelHD3000+radeon hd6470m

I run windows 7
But when i install the radeon graphics is always crash like blue screen

But when i installed intelHD3000 driver only, it succesfully install corectly

And then i teardown my laptop, and find thick dust covered front of the fan which maybe causing the laptop overheated and kill my radeon gpu

My question, i need to replace the whole radeon gpu or i just to reflow/reball the bga only?

Solution

Make sure you use the ports on the radeon itself and disable the intel integrated graphics, or it may not work. The...
Sorry i corredted this problem
The bluescreen is caused by harddrive badsector not the driver

But my driver problem still not solved yet

The 6470m gpu not recocnized by windows, it says “standard VGA graphics adapter” on device manager
And after i finish gpu driver installation, it doesnt work, still says “standard VGA graphics adapter”

I try another method, i updated gpu by internet, now it recocnized as 7450m gpu wich is not actual gpu on my laptop.
When i open gpu setting, it says no amd graphic driver or the driver not installed properly.
I really confused now..
Is because the hardware or software?

Make sure you use the ports on the radeon itself and disable the intel integrated graphics, or it may not work. The drivers for your card can be found here > https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-hd/amd-radeon-hd-6000m-series/amd-radeon-hd-6470m
