Hi, i was watching movie yesterday and all of sudden system crashed. tried to reboot it but was not getting display. So i disconnected my graphic card (r9 270) and used inbuilt video card and my old graphic card as well, it worked out well on those and i got display.. worried about my present card r9 amd 270..has it become faulty..when i plug it in all fans are working including cards but no display... i have reinstalled its drivers as well but no success

Solution
but its down now? well i suppose it could be a driver issue. i would download and save to your desktop the correct most recent drivers from the manufacturer website, then reboot to safe mode and run something like Display Driver Uninstaller, DDU, then reboot again and install the new drivers. probably 1 more reboot for a clean boot and they should be working.

that is, assuming you're still down and it seems to be a driver issue. i would hook the monitor to the mobo while you download the driver and ddu, but after you remove the drivers i would try booting with the gpu connected. it should work then without a driver for at least showing your desktop and installing the drivers. SHOULD, if its a driver issue.

if i read your post...
well we know that a, the 270 isnt working for you. and b, the other card and integrated graphics do. i would test 2 more things. does the 270 work in another system? and does it work in yours with a better power supply? could be your power supply is aging and cant support it properly anymore. it may be hard to test these things, but in order to be sure the card isnt dead, it would help to know.

Hi..
i used my r9 again yesterday.. and all of sudden it started working ...but today afain due to heat it crashed and same problem...
In between above 2 posts i accidently deleted my intel graphics and nvidia (other card through driver uninstaller) so was trying to reset through mobo..after reset and when intel inbuilt driver was restored i tried to use card nd it started working..

if i read your post wrong and everything if fine now, i wouldnt mess with it.
