I should point out that I am an amateur with fixing/understanding issues with computers. I grew up around my older brother (a nerdy genius, like many of you) so I picked a few things up, but I don't understand a lot of the technical stuff. So, to start off, here's the upgrade sitch:

OLD SETUP

790XTA-UD4 Mobo
4GB(2x2GB) G.Sk ddr3 F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
1x HIS HD5850 GPU
x3 425 2.7 CPU
Earthwatts 650W PS
Antec 300 BS
Win7x64

NEW SETUP

790XTA-UD4 Mobo
8GB(2x4GB) G.Sk ddr3 F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL
2x Sapphire 6870 GPUs
x4 970 3.5 CPU
PCPC 750w PS (Will be installed on 9/28)
Antec 300 BS
Win7x64

This upgrade, along with a 28" Hanns-G, is in anticipation of BF3. I have everything save for the 750w PS installed and one of the 6870's. When I first had everything but the PS installed I had some issues and assumed that it was crashing and BSODing because of the two 6870's installed sucking too much power, so I took out a card until my 750w arrived. Same issues. Part of when it crashes has a pattern, the rest (at least to me) seem random. Sometimes, not always, it will crash about 35mins into playing BC2 - the screen will freeze, the audio resembles Jim Carrey's most annoying sound in the world, then it's just OFF and restarting. This happens typically only in BC2. While in windows, it most repeatedly happens when I close a program. This brings up the BSOD. I have tried my old 5850, my old ram, RAM in slots 1/2 + 3/4 (both the old RAM and the new), I have reformatted a couple of times, to no avail! I am downloading the BF3 beta right now, I need heeeellppppp!! :p Anything would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Did you re-install the video drivers after first uninstalling them? Also, you may want to reinstall Windows from scratch and start over after replacing the CPU and going SLI. Windows likes to get a handle on all the components when it installs itself.
