Hello, friends. Trying to get some help for a friends PC.
Specs:
CPU - FX-6300
GPU - GTX 1060
RAM - 8Gb (2x4Gb)
Mobo - Unknown (will attempt to Identify this weekend)
PSU - Unknown (refer to Mobo)
OS - Windows 10 (Specific Edition Unknown) 64-bit
Problem: A few months ago, when the system had been equipped with a GTX 950, there was consistent crashing in-game, but only in-game and quite frequently. Normal browsing sessions went undisturbed. A couple months ago, my friend changed out the GTX 950 for a GTX 1060 but didn't use DDU for installation. Following this, the crashing from associated with the previous card continued - only in-game, never browsing. It's also important to note that the crashes occurred more quickly on more intense games.
Important to note that upon the clean installation of Windows, the crashes subdued to only occurring every few hours, but they sped up and are now back to usual crashing status at every few minutes the game crashes (every game thrown at it including: No Man's Sky, XCOM2, Starcraft, Hearts of Iron IV, etc.).
Any recommendations welcome! Thank you for the help!

I went and used DDU, but crashes still occur.
I pulled out the sticks of RAM and played only using one at a time, both crashed, although one crashed much faster than the other.
I scanned using the built-in Windows memory test tool but it didn't detect anything (Important Note: will be running MemTest86 this weekend off an iso formatted disk to ensure the sticks are clean)
I used Malwarebytes to scan the system - only minor malware and PUPs were detected and subsequently removed
Clean Installed Windows - Still Crashes
