Crashing when playing games

When I am playing games, my pc will randomly crash to desktop with no error, freeze which requires a hard reboot, or restart. It doesn't happen on just one game, it happens on many. It hasn't been doing this before, but recently I installed 16 Gigabytes of RAM.
My specs:
AMD 970 Pro Gaming Aura
AMD FX-8350
GTX 1050
24 Gbs RAM
SSD

I checked my RAM and it turns out the new RAM wasn't snapped in right so I snapped it in right and it works now, thanks anyways.
