ok so ever since I upgraded to windows 10 almost every day about 3 or 4 hours into use my computer will freeze with a loud buzzing sound. I can not move my mouse when it's frozen and control alt delete won't work.My temps are fine and it will happen out of the blue. It can happen when I am gaming, browsing the web or watching youtube or netflix. Sometimes I will leave my computer to get something and when i come back it's frozen. I'm thinking this is ether a hard drive issue because the only common thing about the freeze is that whenever it happens my hard drive light just goes off. I also think it might be a ram issue because the computer is 4 years old and one or more of the ram sticks might have failed.

Before any culprits can be pin pointed we would need to know your full systems specs. When you speak of an upgrade to Windows 10, what was your OS prior? Was the issue seen in your prior OS? I'm assuming you have either/both a Realtek audio chip and an Nvidia graphics card...?

To rule out OS issues, try and create a bootable USB installer and keep it handy for troubleshooting in the future. If the issue cropped up after a mandatory windows update then perform a system restore to a point prior to functioning status and lastly try a repair install if you can boot into OS without and complications.

Though now that you'll be armed with a bootable installer you could reinstall OS though we should...

Though now that you'll be armed with a bootable installer you could reinstall OS though we should figure out if a driver is conflicting with your OS. To rule out the rams, run memtest86 for 10 passes and if no errors come up before reaching 10 passes then the ram kit is fine. Did you perform any hardware changes after upgrading to Windows 10?
