(a) There is no "giant FOO" type of item. There just happen to be two
types of club which are described with the adjective "giant" because they
are large... they are not manufactured for giants or by giants, in fact
giants don't even bother using them (they're used by much smaller races).
The fact that these two objects also happen to be the two which are
unwieldable by medium size races is coincidence... the smaller races can't
wield many weapons that don't have a convenient adjective to make them.

(b) No "clubs" are made into artefacts. When I posted that they are
the only weapon that isn't made into artefacts I meant it explicitly...
the test is "mitm[p].sub_type != WPN_CLUB" and it's applied to the block
that makes fixed, randarts, and unrandarts (so it's kind of important
that you can find a giant club artefact otherwise Skullcrusher could
never be created).

I wasn't talking about weapons for giants, but the two huge clubs
that both start with 'giant'; giant clubs and giant spiked clubs.

I'd have thought that they are unwieldable because they're too
big, just like a great sword is too big to be wielded by a
Halfling.

That sentence doesn't make any sense to me.

Did you actually mention that you only mean normal clubs?
Otherwise a club is any club, size is secondary.

Anyway. Far more important is how I get my character back to
where he shouldn't have any trouble getting to in the first
place; the top level of the Crypt, where that entrance to the
Labyrinth is. If I have to edit some file to get around the bug
of the disappeared upstairs, then I'll do that, but I do need
someone to tell me what to do.
